Inclusion and Hospitality
Catalyst serves to work with Christians to break down the barriers which contributes to social exclusion
A key element of Catalyst's training people is the lost art of hospitality, literally 'Welcoming Strangers'. In line with the message of Luke 14, Catalyst's 'Making Room', a series of four practical training sessions, will help Christians to rekindle the spark of vibrant local community that is so needed for the transformation of urban areas. This rediscovery of the Christian tradition of hospitality is of paramount importance in a post-modern context that seeks 'living proof' not just propositional truth. There is recognition that in genuine hospitality, both parties may experience growth and transformation, again moving beyond a one-way model of charity.
Catalyst hopes to have a Making Room Toolkit available to pilot in early 2008.
