Values

We believe

that the local community is central to social transformation. Read More

We believe that central to Social Transformation is Local Community. Local Communities should be a safe and secure place for all those who live, work and gather there - somewhere they can flourish. Local residents, business and faith communities all have a key part to play in developing healthy community life. We aim to equip local residents to be part of the change they want to see. We encourage local churches to respond effectively to this privilege and responsibility, helping them to “practice what they preach”. Local businesses have the opportunity to give back into the communities in which they operate and from which they draw their life. We aim to help them in this process.

in the dignity of the individual. Read more

We believe in the dignity of the individual and that everyone should have the chance to contribute to their own development and that of the community in which they live. To this end, we seek to serve by equipping, encouraging and mobilising people to use their abilities and resources in the development of their communities. The emphasis is doing “with”, not “for”.

that people should flourish in all areas of life. Read more

Our approach is that it is right that people should be free to flourish in all areas of life and thus we seek to uphold a holistic approach to our work, helping individuals and communities to develop in all areas – health, education, relationships, employment, faith, and responsibility to each other.

in the restoration of family life Read more

In an increasingly fragmented society, where loneliness, isolation and broken relationships are commonplace, we believe the restoration of healthy family life is of fundamental importance to social transformation. Wherever possible we encourage work, not just with individuals, but with whole families.
